Queensland Family Pools & Spas has been an active member of the Swimming Pool and Spa Association Australia (SPASA Australia) for many years.
Each year SPASA members compete for recognition of the outstanding work they perform in the annual Awards of Excellence program, in which we have won many years in a row.
When making your final decision on the company that will fulfil your backyard dream, and install or update your swimming pool, carefully look at the company’s history. Ask yourself – will the pool and the company stand the test of time?
Queensland Family Pools & Spas have been installing concrete swimming pools in Brisbane for over 30 years, with the finest quality installation techniques and equipment available. We have the financial strength and capacity to give homeowners peace of mind in knowing that their installer will still be in business if their pool needs maintenance or renovation.
We are also a FAMILY OWNED and FAMILY RUN company, and NOT a franchise of a large, nationwide business. This means Queensland Family Pools & Spas customers get the attention and personal touch from the owners, that they deserve.
Can a customer’s expectations be too high? At Queensland Family Pools & Spas, we won’t let you be satisfied with anything less than superior. We strive hard to meet our customer’s expectations of quality customer service.
Every Queensland Family Pools & Spas employee understands that satisfied customers mean referrals, and referrals mean success. Our customer base is continually expanding through referrals from satisfied customers, and also because of our reputation for the quality work. Our customers also exhibit a great degree of loyalty by contacting us to build not only their second pool, but also their third and fourth (and in one case – seventh!).
Please remember that Queensland Family Pools & Spas is a Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA) member, and as such, is covered by SPASA’s Completion Insurance, or “Watertight Insurance”. This insurance GUARANTEES the completion of your pool at the original contract price in the event of the builder’s liquidation, death, illness, etc, by a reputable SPASA member.
Without SPASA’s Completion Insurance, in the event of your builder going into liquidation etc, you would be left with an unfinished pool, and need to find another pool builder to quote on finishing the project, at their prices. You may even recall “A Current Affair” running a story in late May about a North Brisbane pool company who went out of business, and didn’t have completion insurance. Some of their customers were left up to $30,000.00 out of pocket.
Non SPASA members will tell you that they are members of the Housing Industry Association, Master Builder’s Association and hold Building Services Authority licences (as do we), which are all good organisations, however NONE of these offer completion insurance. You wouldn’t buy a car or house without insurance – why would you build a pool without insurance?

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a progressive, genetic condition which primarily affects the lungs and digestive system for which there is no cure.
Physiotherapy and sport assists in moving mucus off the lungs – swimming is a terrific form of sport to assist in opening up the airways and building up lung function.
Queensland Family Pools recognise the importance of swimming for those with CF, our team, along with our incredible Sub – Contractors and Suppliers, have donated multiple swimming pools to families with Children living with CF. Over the years, we have assisted
numerous families with CF by donating pool products, to encourage their children to get active and swim.
Cystic Fibrosis Queensland advocates for those with CF, for research and clinical improvement programs.
